Week 19 & 20: Picking a Baby Name

Ok.  So we've finally calmed down just a smidge since finding out it's a girl (no, we haven't).  So everyone's next question... what's her name going to be?

Names that we vetoed:
Olivia

Idina

Well team, as much as we love y'all,
we won't be announcing baby girls' name until she's born. Guesses and bets are welcome.

Weeks 18 & 19: It's a....

GIRL!

This appointment also had a glucose test which I chugged like a 5 Horseman Shot in the car on the way to the OB/GYN and felt like the morning after you have chugged multiple 5 horseman shots.  We find out tomorrow how that went.  We  also had an anatomy scan and little girl was head down, ass up so the nurse was able to see 99% of her and all looked good.  We do have to go back so they can get a look at the heart since she couldn't see it (we could hear it though, phew).  So as many may have seen in the previous post I did a lot of research for gender reveals.  I decided to keep it simple, involve a place we love and have both of us be a part.  After the appointments we grabbed one of Meg's oldest friends and headed towards Quincy beach (the first place I lived when I moved to Boston and met Meg).  But on the way we spotted another little beach and just pulled over.  We had purchased 2 sets of baby shoes, one male and one female, with Meg's dad last weekend.  With shoes in hand, we gave ourselves over to Victoria's design sense and they came out great!
Little girl likes to kick her feet up.

Our families are also super psyched.
Meg's dad.

Thanks for all the love everyone!

We all wish for a healthy baby and we are beyond excited to be having a girl.  BUT.  If it had turned out to be a boy it might have gone a little something like this...

What we imagine we'd teach our boy to do in the sports...          What he'd probably look like...

How people imagine we'd dress our son...                                  How I imagined dressing him...

How we'd probably dress him...

What most boys are like...

What our boy would have been like...
So yeah, it's probably a good thing that it's a girl.

Week 18: Gender Reveals

Ok team. Our 18-20 week anatomy scan is Thursday afternoon, so that means it's almost gender reveal time. I did extensive research on possible creative ways to announce.

There's the stereo-typical cake...

There's the ole balloons reveal...

And the go-to paint on the belly...

Then I came across these little no-no nuggets...

Decisions were made here.  And none of them were good.

Ok, I don't personally hate this, but I know I would be a single mother if I did it.

Just say no to Photoshop.

And finally.....

Until Thursday I'll just leave you with this.
